SDA Joins China Hotel Supply Chain Blue Book Editorial Committee
May 23-25, 2025 – The second Hotel Supply Chain Operators Conference, hosted by the China Tourist Hotel Association, was grandly convened. Under the theme “Survive through Intelligence, Co-create a Carbon-Conscious Future,” the event brought together nearly 300 representatives from renowned hotel groups including Marriott, Hilton, and Jinjiang, along with supply chain enterprises. Russell, CEO of SDA Asia Sustainable Development Forum, and Lance Huang, Chairman of the Sustainable Supply Chain Council, were invited to attend this significant industry gathering.
During a key segment of the conference, the SDA Asia Sustainable Development Forum was officially appointed as an editorial committee member for the China Hotel Procurement Supply Chain Development Blue Book (2024-2025), recognizing its professional contributions to sustainability within the hotel industry, and participated in the official appointment ceremony. This authoritative industry report is compiled under the leadership of the China Tourist Hotel Association, incorporating insights from leading experts and institutions in the hotel supply chain sector.
“Being selected as an editorial committee member is an affirmation of our professional capabilities,” stated Russell during the appointment ceremony. “SDA will fully leverage its expertise in areas such as ESG strategy and low-carbon technologies to contribute to building a more sustainable hotel supply chain system.”
As a representative of the newly appointed editorial committee member, Lance Huang chaired a specialized ESG training session during the conference, sharing practical sustainable development experiences with attendees. The conference featured multiple agenda items, including an industry presentation from the China Beauty Valley • Hangji High-Tech Zone, the release and interpretation of the Blue Book, the editorial committee appointment ceremony, and the opening ribbon-cutting for the “Hotel Sustainable Development Innovation Resource Exhibition,” all aimed at exploring innovative pathways to enhance both supply chain efficiency and environmental performance.
